Position Title: Carpenter
Location: 1431 Lafontaine Rd suite 4, Golden, British Columbia, V0A 1H3

Wage: $31/hr

Hours: 30-40/week

Proudly serving Golden, BC and the surrounding area, EDIM Improvements Ltd. provides reliable, high-quality home repair and renovation services. From custom carpentry and interior updates to essential property maintenance, we deliver solid craftsmanship and local expertise you can trust for every project, big or small.

We are currently growing our crew and looking for a motivated, hardworking Apprentice Carpenter with solid hands-on experience to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to further build your skills in a professional, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

·       Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, lumber, and other construction materials.

·       Assisting with the framing of walls, floors, and roof systems.

·       Installing interior and exterior finish components, such as doors, windows, moulding, and cabinets.

·       Interpreting blueprints and sketches to execute precise measurements.

·       Operating and maintaining standard hand and power tools safely and effectively.

·       Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work site by removing debris and organizing tools.

·       Following all company safety protocols and provincial building codes.

Required Qualifications

Education: none, trade certificate an asset
A minimum of 2 years of verifiable related experience in construction or carpentry is required.
Confident ability to effectively use and maintain standard carpentry hand tools and power tools.
Must have a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a genuine commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
Physically capable of working in mountainous terrain and adverse winter weather
Ability to work well within a collaborative team, follow detailed instructions from the Lead Carpenter, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
