Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 30 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is July 24, 2026.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $17.00 and $21.00 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.
Location: MiRo… lives in Mont-Royal, Quebec. This job will require moving between three different work locations to care for multiple members of the employer’s family. The main work location is in a residential area. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (#119). The major intersection is Chem. Canora and Graham Blvd.
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of two children, aged 6 years old and 4 years old, as well as help the care of both children’s maternal and paternal grandparents, who live in their own homes separate from the children.
2- Help with the care and supervision of the children, especially when parents are not home. Help take children to and from appointments
3- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
4- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
5- Bathe children until they are old enough to do it themselves
6- Help with daily routine of the grandparents including personal hygiene, dressing and medications
7- Plan, prepare and serve meals. Kitchen clean-up is also required
8- General housework that will include doing, laundry and some ironing and dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
