Position Overview Fort St. John Co-op is hiring a Cashier to support day-to-day operations. This is an entry-level position responsible for delivering safe, efficient customer service, maintaining site cleanliness, and supporting merchandising and inventory activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate POS and inventory systems
• Filling Propane cylinders
• Filling customer vehicles with petroleum or other products
• Perform general housekeeping and facility upkeep
• Merchandise stock, displays, and backroom inventory
• Comply with Food Safety standards while handling coffee and food products
• Follow all Co-op safety and operational procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Previous retail, customer service, or gas bar experience is an asset
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and maneuver these weights up to 100 meters repeatedly unassisted
• Availability for varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment and follow operational procedures
• Passing pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing
