The Role: As a Transport Truck Driver for GFL Services, the candidate is responsible for operating various trucks to transport materials and industrial waste to sites.

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience

  • 1 year or more of experience operating a commercial truck to move waste
  • AZ Driver’s License

  • Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely

General Tasks

  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Specific Tasks

  • Operate vacuum and hydrovac trucks, box trucks, and tractor-trailers to transport materials, equipment, and industrial waste to designated sites.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of trucks and related equipment, ensuring safe mechanical condition and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with safety procedures and transportation regulations.
  • Perform industrial service tasks such as power washing, high-pressure water blasting, and line snaking while operating required truck-mounted or auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of trucks, tools, and industrial service equipment through routine cleaning and basic maintenance.
  • Handle, collect, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials following established safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Complete transportation logs, manifests, inspection reports, and required government documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow company and regulatory safety procedures
