Overview

Hiring a Meat Packager

– Completion of secondary school is prefered but not required.
– On-the-job training in Korean-style meat cutting will be provided
– English proficiency is required for this position.

Main duties:

-Transport raw meats, finished products and packaging materials throughout plant manually or with powered equipment

– Thoroughly inspect and clean all cuts of meat according to regulations and health department standards prior to packaging

– Sort meat by type and size, preparing various cuts of meat in preparation for packaging and label each package

– Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack meats into bags, boxes or other containers

– Clean work areas and meat packaging equipments

– Check products and packaging for basic quality defects

 

– $19.50 per hour, 4% vacation fee of gross salary or 10 days paid vacation, extended
health benefit (after three months of employment), and meal provided at work
– 30-40 hours per week (permanent full-time position) including evening and weekend
shifts
