Overview

Hiring two meat cutters (retail)

– Completion of secondary school is required.
– Completion of a college or other meat-cutting training program, related experience, or demonstrated meat-cutting skills is an asset.
– On-the-job training in Korean-style meat cutting will be provided.
– English proficiency is required for this position.

Main duties:

– Grind, slice meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
– Cut, trim, weigh, shape, package, label and price meat, meat products for sale
-Suggest meat products to consumers
– Inspect the quality of meat, expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation
– Ensure the maintenance of equipment, displays and work area
– Receive and store meat products in accordance with GS Food’s standard
– Comply with government/occupational health and safety standards

 

– $23.00 per hour, 4% vacation fee of gross salary or 10 days paid vacation, extended
health benefit (after three months of employment), and meal provided at work
– 30-40 hours per week (permanent full-time position) including evening and weekend
shifts
