Permanent employment – Full time
Job Description:
– Check dozers, loaders, tractor trailers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
– Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
– Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
– Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
– Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
– Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms.
Skills & Experience Required:
– English speaking and French (optional)
– Journeyperson with valid red seal license.
– Organized, good with paperwork and used to a fast-paced environment
– Must possess a valid driver’s license minimum class 5 with a clean driver’s abstract.
– Own tools would be an asset
– Work in the field and Whitehorse, willingness to work in adverse weather conditions and travel to remote sites.
– Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.

Salary: $45 to $60 per hour depending on experience and own tools.
