Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $23.50-$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: A-2611 St Johns St, Port Moody, BC V3H 2B5

Benefits:

·         5% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Run daily programs that help kids grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially

·         Keep the toys, equipment, and play areas clean and in good shape

·         Lead fun activities like storytelling, singing songs, crafting, and local outings

·         Teach and help kids with everyday habits like eating, dressing, and potty training

·         Watch for any learning or behavioral struggles and update parents or supervisors

·         Share updates and brainstorm solutions about kids’ progress during staff meetings

·         Create a safe, healthy, and welcoming space where kids feel secure

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Certification: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECE Certificate
