Job Summary

The employer is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Automotive Parts Delivery Driver to transport automotive parts and related products to repair shops, dealerships, commercial businesses, and retail customers throughout Vernon and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will safely operate a 3-ton or 5-ton delivery truck, ensure accurate and timely deliveries, and assist with warehouse operations when required.

Main Duties
Operate a 3-ton or 5-ton delivery truck to pick up and deliver automotive parts and supplies to customers on assigned delivery routes.
Load, unload, and secure automotive parts to prevent damage during transportation.
Verify delivery orders, BOLs, and customer information before deliveries.
Deliver products safely and on schedule while providing courteous and professional customer service.
Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery records.
Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report mechanical defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and delivery schedules.
Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or customer concerns.
Return undelivered items and complete the required documentation.
Assist in receiving, organizing, stocking, and preparing automotive parts in the warehouse as needed.
Follow company policies and comply with all provincial traffic laws and workplace health and safety regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Employment Requirements
Some secondary school education is preferred.
Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record.
Experience operating a 3-ton or 5-ton delivery truck is an asset.
Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, warehouse, or automotive parts distribution is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Basic knowledge of Vernon and surrounding areas is considered an asset.
On-the-job training will be provided as required.
Work Conditions
Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and loading/unloading of automotive parts.
Driving in varying weather and road conditions.
Standing, walking, and entering/exiting the delivery vehicle throughout the workday.
Occasional overtime may be required to meet operational needs.
