Position Info:

· Position: Housing Construction Manager

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $50.00/hr

· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

· Number of Positions: 1

· Work Location: 2786 Lake Breeze Court, Langford, BC V9B 6L6

Benefits:

· 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

· Plan and oversee the daily operations of residential tiling and construction projects to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to project requirements

· Supervise tile setters and other construction employees, assign daily work, establish priorities and monitor the quality and productivity of their work

· Develop construction schedules and project milestones and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed within established timelines

· Review architectural drawings, floor plans, specifications and measurements to determine project requirements, installation methods and material needs

· Prepare labour and material cost estimates for residential construction and tiling projects and monitor project expenditures against approved budgets

· Recruit, train and supervise construction employees and assess staffing requirements based on current and upcoming projects

· Establish workmanship and quality-control procedures for tile installation and related construction activities and ensure completed work meets company and project standards

· Coordinate the ordering and delivery of tiles, adhesives, grout, waterproofing materials and other construction supplies required for each project

· Monitor job-site operations and address scheduling, staffing, material or workmanship issues that may affect project completion

· Maintain project records and prepare reports on work progress, labour utilization, project costs and completion status for management

Job Requirements:

· Language: English

· Experience: Five or more years of supervisory experience in the construction industry is required

· Education: Completion of secondary school is required
