Live-in Caregiver – Persons with Disabilities

KB Caregiver is seeking a dependable and compassionate Live-in Caregiver to provide personal care and support to a person with physical disabilities in the employer’s home in Chemainus, BC.

Position Details
Location: Chemainus, BC V0R 1K0
Wage: $38.50 per hour
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Job type: Permanent, full-time
Schedule: Early morning, evening, shift, flexible hours, night and weekends
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: On site in the employer’s home

Responsibilities
– Administer bedside and personal care
– Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
– Feed or assist with feeding
– Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
– Provide companionship
– Provide personal care
– Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Qualifications
– Secondary school graduation certificate
– 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience
– CPR Certificate
– First Aid Certificate
– Personal Support Worker Certificate
– Experience supporting persons with physical disabilities
– Ability to communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements
– Bending, crouching and kneeling
– Ability to perform physically demanding work
– Ability to work under pressure
