Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $30.16-$31.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 1010 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB R2W 3P7

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Organize and direct food preparation and cooking operations

·         Prepare and cook full meals or specialty dishes

·         Develop menus and ensure food quality standards are upheld

·         Assess supply needs and calculate costs for food and labor

·         Supervise the activities of kitchen staff

·         Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation

·         May assist in recruiting and hiring kitchen staff

·         May handle the acquisition and maintenance of kitchen equipment

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience are required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
