Position Info:

· Position: Cafe Manager

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $38.50/hour

· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

· Number of Positions: 2

· Work Location: 22265 Dewdney Trunk Rd Unit 1, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 3H9

Benefits:

· 6% vacation pay

Job Duties:

· Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations to ensure efficient service, product quality, and customer satisfaction

· Plan, organize, and evaluate daily operations including front-of-house service, kitchen coordination, and workflow efficiency

· Develop and monitor operating budgets, analyze sales performance, and manage labour costs to support profitability targets

· Establish staff work schedules, assign duties, and supervise employees to ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours

· Recruit, train, and mentor staff, and conduct regular performance evaluations to maintain high service standards

· Monitor staff performance and enforce workplace policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures

· Organize and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, and coordinate purchasing to control costs and reduce waste

· Ensure compliance with provincial health, safety, and food handling regulations at all times

· Address customer feedback, concerns, or complaints promptly and professionally to maintain the business reputation

· Collaborate on marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase customer engagement and sales

Job requirements:

· Education: Completion of secondary school is required

· Experience: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the food service industry is required

· Language: English
