Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $38.50/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

·         Work Location: 3146 Ash St, Vancouver, BC V5Z 3C9

Job Duties:

·         Design and execute comprehensive early childhood programs that foster physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth in children

·         Conduct engaging daily educational activities, incorporating story-reading, music, creative arts, and physical play to inspire self-expression

·         Monitor individual learning progress and construct customized educational plans to meet developmental needs

·         Identify potential learning challenges or behavioural concerns through routine observation, documenting insights for families and leadership

·         Support children in building positive daily self-care habits, including mealtime etiquette, personal hygiene, and dressing

·         Create and manage a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom setting that prioritizes the health and security of all children

·         Establish positive behavioural expectations to foster respect, cooperation, and healthy social skills among children

·         Maintain active and transparent communication with parents regarding their child’s daily achievements, routines, and ongoing progress

·         Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for assistant educators, support staff, and classroom volunteers

·         Participate in ongoing staff meetings to review child development goals, improve operational practices, and enhance program quality

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education or childcare is required

·         Education: College Certificate or Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate

·         Language: English
