Qualifications and Experience
●2-3 years’ experience in commercial HVAC sheet metal using a CAD 3D model is required

●2 years’ experience installing hangers based on a CAD survey layout is required

●Experience using a Duct Air Leakage Tester (Kanomax – DALT 6900 or similar) is required

●High school education is required

●Experience using a Total Station Survey Tool is preferred

●Ability with AutoCad is preferred

●Valid Drivers License is preferred

●Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker Certificate or in the process is preferred

 

Responsibilities
●Read and interpretate a 3D duct model and install hangers

●Visualize potential clashes at the hanger stage and coordinate changes with the CAD modeling team

●Measure and draw duct fittings for fabrication by the manufacturing team

●Understand and communicate measurements, accurate to 1/16”

●Install galvanized sheet metal ducts

●Install welded duct in kitchens and laboratories including welding of connections

●Install fire dampers according to specifications and building codes

●Install fans and HVAC equipment;

●Leakage test duct in multiple sample lengths and organize multiple reports for engineer’s review

●Install grills, registers and diffusers

●Use lifting equipment, handle loads and work at heights

Position details:

·Pay rate: $30.25 to $32.58 (depending on experience)

·Vacation: (12% vacation pay)

·Weekly hours: 36 or 40 hours per week

·Benefits: Extended health, vision, dental benefits.

·36 paid work hour for continuous learning & development.
