Position Info:

·         Position: Retail Store Manager

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $45.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 1202 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6E 1C1

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and sales floor coverage

·         Direct staff scheduling and daily task assignments for the sales team

·         Handle customer requests, complaints, and product shortages

·         Decide which luggage, travel accessories, greeting cards, and gift items the store carries and enforce its pricing and credit policies

·         Interpret market research and consumer trends to estimate demand, expected sales volumes, and the effect of nearby competitors

·         Plan promotions and marketing campaigns to draw in customers and raise sales

·         Manage the store budget and review revenues and expenses regularly

·         Establish staffing levels and hire for open positions through candidate interviews

·         Evaluate staff performance through periodic reviews

·         Approve staff hours and forward payroll records for processing

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of retail sales supervisory experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
