Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $24.00-$25.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 540 Hwy 93/95, Invermere, BC V0A 1K3

Job Duties:

·         Cook traditional Bavarian dishes and steakhouse entrées to consistent quality and presentation standards

·         Oversee kitchen staff and helpers during service

·         Accommodate customer food allergies and dietary intolerances

·         Calculate portion sizes and associated food costs across appetizers, entrées and daily specials

·         Train staff on proper preparation, cooking and handling of dishes and sauces

·         Monitor kitchen and food service areas and ensure they remain sanitized

·         Acquire kitchen supplies and equipment while tracking inventory and records

·         Plan seasonal menu offerings based on ingredient availability and guest demand

·         Calculate ingredient quantities needed based on expected covers and reservations

Job Requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 3 or more years of commercial cooking experience is required
