Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time (35 hours/week), including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation for emergency roadside call-outs
Work Setting: Multiple Locations within Nanaimo, BC and surrounding areas (mobile service)
Wages: $37.00 per hour
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Duties:
Respond to mobile/roadside service calls for passenger, light truck, and commercial vehicle tires
Remove, install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels
Inspect tires for wear and damage and advise customers on repair vs. replacement
Operate service truck and mobile tire equipment safely at roadside locations
Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle; complete work orders and basic records
Follow all traffic-control and workplace safety procedures
Job requirements:
Completion of secondary school required
Previous tire service or automotive repair experience an asset
Valid Driver’s licence
Physically able to lift heavy tires and work outdoors in all weather
Available for evening, weekend, and on-call shifts
