40 hours per week; 2 days of

Rate of pay: $ 20.00 per hour

Language: ability to communicate effectively in English in an  unsupervised setting

Education: minimum- secondary school certificate

Experience: minimum 7 months’ child care experience in a home setting

Work setting: employers’ residence in West Vancouver, BC

Optional Accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.  Note: This is NOT a condition of employment

DUTIES:

·       Supervise and care for a toddler; Change diapers

·        Follow parents’ lead with toilet training

·        Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

·        Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

·        Shop for food and household supplies

·        Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties

·        Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens

·        Bathe, dress and feed infants and children

·        Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents

·        Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

·        Organize, activities such as games and outings for child

·        Prepare and serve nutritious meals

·        Prepare child for rest periods

·       Tend to emotional well-being of the child

·        Cook
