Main Duties:
Home Child Care providers (Nanny) perform some or all the following duties but not limited to this:
Supervise and care for two children in the employer’s home
Bathe, dress and feed the children
Change diapers and assist with toilet training as directed by the parents
Sterilize bottles and prepare formula and baby food
Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children
Prepare the children for naps and bedtime and settle them for rest periods
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take the children to and from school, medical or other appointments
Assist the children with homework and school projects
Teach the children personal hygiene, manners and social skills
Guide and discipline the children using the methods requested by the parents
Support the emotional well-being of the children and provide comfort and reassurance
Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment throughout the home
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to childcare
Keep daily records of the children’s activities, meals and health information and report to the parents
Assume full responsibility for the household and the children in the absence of the parents
Requirements:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 7 to 12 months of experience or any post-secondary diploma.
Languages: English
Work Location Information: Employer’s Home in Surrey, BC, Canada
Wages: $20.50/hr.
