Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week (flexible schedule; occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required)
Wage: $26.50 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced caregiver/home support worker to assist and provide companionship for an 18-year-old young woman with complex needs, including a rare genetic disorder (Prader-Willi Syndrome), ADHD, and Autism.
The caregiver will work closely with the family to ensure safety, promote independence, and maintain a stable and positive daily routine in a respectful, supportive home environment.
Must Have:
- Completion of secondary school required.
- At least one year of full-time caregiving experience (paid or volunteer) required or similar experience.
- Must be comfortable with dogs and able to take them for walks.
- Good English communication skills required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit).
Nice to Have:
- Training or certification in home support, disability care, or a related field is an asset.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Understanding of Filipino culture and cooking considered an asset.
Main Duties
- Provide personal care and companionship during daily routines and occasional overnight stays.
- Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing as required.
- Plan and prepare meals and special diets while supervising food intake to meet health and behavioral needs.
- Engage the client in meaningful activities such as light cooking, crafts, and games that foster independence.
- Walk and care for household dogs, including the client’s therapy dog.
- Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and keeping the home tidy and safe.
- Monitor well-being and assist with medications under direction from family or health professionals.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, maintaining a positive and calm environment.
- Communicate regularly with family members regarding progress, behavior, and daily routines
