Qualicum Beach Inn is a boutique hotel centrally located on Vancouver Island next to the beautiful Strait of Georgia and near the heart of the quaint, picturesque town of Qualicum Beach. We offer upscale amenities, a pool, hot tub, event space and 32 spectacular guest rooms and 8 guest suites located at Qualicum Beach Ocean Suites.
Qualicum Beach Inn is currently looking for a full-time seasonal housekeeper and laundry attendant to join our team, with the potential to carry on as a permanent team member after September. We offer a summer bonus in addition to hourly pay based on performance.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas, as well as managing laundry services to ensure that linens are clean and presentable. This position is essential in providing our guests with a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Duties
– Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
– Replenish supplies such as toiletries and linens in guest rooms as needed.
– Maintain cleanliness in common areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and pool area.
– Retrieve, stock, restock and store amenities, linens, and housekeeping carts
– Launder linens, towels, and other items according to established protocols to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
– Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties.
Experience
– Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
– Familiarity with laundry operations and equipment is a plus.
– Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
– Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
– A positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service to guests.
– Must be able to stand and be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
– Must be physically able to bend, stretch, lift, walk up stairs, etc.
– Must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
