Position Summary
Quality Care Solution LTD. is seeking a Registered Nurse (R.N.) to provide high-quality, compassionate care to clients in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and passionate about community health and patient care.
Qualifications
Language: English
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Licensure: Registration to College of Nurses of Ontario
Work Authorization: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities
Supervise teams of LPNs and Personal Support Workers to ensure safe and consistent care.
Offer services such as medication administration, wound care, foot care, live-in and respite care, and end-of-life care.
Assess patients and create care plans based on individual health needs.
Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Administer medications and treatments according to physicians’ orders or established protocols.
Monitor changes in patients’ health, document observations, and report concerns promptly.
Operate and observe medical equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety.
Assist with medical procedures and treatments when required.
Provide leadership and support to nurses and support staff.
Begin discharge planning at the time of admission to ensure a smooth transition.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and home care.
Ensure care plans are followed and maintain the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents.
May be assigned to work in various settings including private homes, nursing homes, long-term care homes, and assisted living facilities.
Work is provided through a healthcare staffing company that supports multiple care facilities and private clients.
