Overview

A busy professional family in Laval is looking for an in-home caregiver to provide care and assistance to an adult with a medical disability/chronic illness. The caregiver will also perform light housekeeping and other domestic tasks, including meal preparation. Permanent full-time employment, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Split shift: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Salary: $19.27/hour. Two days off, usually Saturday and Sunday, although these days may vary depending on the employer’s schedule; flexibility is therefore essential. Option to reside at the employer’s residence at no additional cost. The caregiver will provide personal care, mobility assistance, assistance with activities of daily living, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Languages: French or English.

*Educational level required:
General High School Diploma – Completed

*Experience related to employment:
1–2 years of experience in home support, personal care, care of persons with disabilities or persons requiring assistance with activities of daily living, or equivalent experience through relevant work, studies or training, including nursing, teaching, psychology, first aid, CPR or personal support care.

*Other conditions:
Punctuality, reliability, judgment, sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and experience providing care and assistance to adults with medical or mobility needs.
