Private family in North Vancouver, Dollarton area seeking a reliable and experienced Home Child Care Provider to care for an infant and a toddler in our home.
Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week
Wage: $27.00 per hour
Duties
- Supervising and caring for children in employer’s residence
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks
- Organizing age-appropriate activities
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Light housekeeping related to the children
- Accompanying children to/from preschool or activities including drop-ins, libraries, etc.
- Must work flexible hours to support family’s shift work schedule, including evenings and weekends with schedule determined 12 weeks in advance
- Willing to travel with the family for up to one week at a time to support family’s locum work in underserved communities, up to three times per year
Requirements
- Secondary school completion
- 2+ years of full-time childcare experience, caring for at least two children
- Child Care First Aid and CPR certification
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- Driver’s license and a clean, safe vehicle suitable for transporting children
- Applicants must be non-smokers
Nice to Haves
- French or Spanish second language preferred
Criminal record check and driver’s abstract will be required as part of a successful application.
