Overview

A busy family in Halifax is looking for a caregiver for an elderly person who requires assistance with daily activities, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and support with maintaining a safe living environment. Permanent and full-time employment. 40 hours, 5 days per week. Hours: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and 2nd shift from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Salary: 19.27$/h. Two days off: usually Saturday and Sunday, but this may vary depending on the employer’s needs, so flexibility is essential. Option to stay with the employer at no additional cost. The caregiver may have to assist the elderly person in the absence of family members. Languages: French or English.

Educational level required: General High school diploma – Completed.
Experience related to employment: 1-2 years of experience with elderly persons or equivalence, such as nursing, personal support work, caregiving, or similar studies.
Other conditions: Punctuality, reliability, patience, judgment, sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and experience with elderly care.
