Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $28.85~$31.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 3260 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, BC V3B 3N4

Job Duties:

·         Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

·         Plan and conduct activities by reading stories and teaching songs

·         Set up rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, and prepare snacks

·         Prepare reports for parents and supervisors regarding children’s behavioural issues and potential learning

·         Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and toilet habits.

·         Maintain daycare equipment organized and sanitized

·         Help children to express the creativities and find interests through art, music, play and physical activities

·         Establish guidelines for behaviour

·         Encourage children in activities by telling stories and making crafts

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
