Position Info:

·         Position: Restaurant Manager

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $40.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 2

·         Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Oversee the restaurant’s budget to protect and grow overall profitability, setting cost targets for food, alcohol, kitchen, and cleaning supplies

·         Review daily operations across the restaurant to identify areas for improvement

·         Adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods to stay within financial targets

·         Track revenue against labour costs to guide staffing levels

·         Manage staffing levels, including hiring, oversight, and skill development for restaurant staff

·         Assess staff performance through regular performance reviews

·         Establish service offerings and put operational procedures in place for the restaurant

·         Uphold provincial liquor legislation and health and safety regulations throughout the restaurant

·         Build supplier relationships and secure terms for food and other restaurant supplies

·         Resolve customer complaints and concerns directly

Job requirements:

·         Experience: A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in food service is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
