Overview

The Shandex Group is a sales, distribution and logistics company in Pickering. The Systems Technical Support Analyst role is a full-time, permanent role.

Here are some of the main activities and tasks that Systems Technical Support Analyst have to perform, and some of the physical demands they involve:

• Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
• Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
• Reproduce, diagnose and resolve technical problems encountered by users
• Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
• Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
• Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
• Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
• May supervise other technical support workers in this group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required
• Knowledge of and experience with the following:
  • 1. EDI X12
  • 2. XML
  • 3. API
  • 4. JSON
  • 5. Web Services
  • 6. AS2
  • 7. FTP
• Preference for candidates with knowledge of Sage 300, SAP, MS 365 platform, Azure, Power automate, Power BI and SSRS/MS SQL.
• Programing comprehension i.e. PowerShell, Python
• Knowledge of order processing, accounting, shipping and freight an asset.
• Must have excellent problem-solving skills
• Possess creativity and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and written.
