·         Working Hours: 30-48 hours/week

Benefits:

Job Duties:

Assess clients’ hair and scalp conditions to identify suitable styling options and treatment needs.
Consult with clients on hair care services and recommend styles that complement their facial features and personal preferences.
Perform precision haircuts, trimming, layering, and styling based on individual client requests.
Provide a variety of hairstyling services, including curling, permanent waving, and other specialized styling techniques.
Perform professional hair colouring services, including bleaching, highlighting, tinting, and colour adjustments.
Carry out chemical hair treatments, such as perming and straightening, using appropriate products and techniques.
Deliver personalized hair and scalp treatments to improve hair condition and address individual client concerns.
Wash, shampoo, and condition clients’ hair before or after styling and treatment services.
Monitor salon product inventory and arrange replenishment of hair care products, colouring supplies, and styling materials.
Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience is required.

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

·         Certification: Hairstylist certification from the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia

·         Language: English
