Company Description:

Wescor Contracting Ltd. handles various projects including large-scale commercial and industrial builds, to tenant improvements and custom homes. Along with standard wall and ceiling assemblies, Wescor’s specialize in acoustic ceiling systems and a wide variety of finished wall and ceiling systems such as demountable wall systems, acoustic wall panels, cloud ceiling panels, linear wood ceilings and metal soffit ceiling systems.

We are in search of a skilled and hard-working construction labourer to join our team. You will be essential to the daily workflow, handling everything from material logistics and site prep to assisting with framing, wall erections, and roof builds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload construction materials and carry them to the required locations in the job sites.
• Mix, pour and spread construction materials based on the project plans.
• Assist in operate and care of heavy equipment.
• Operate different manual and mechanical tools such as hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
• Assist operators and other skilled labor in the job site to help the work flow.
• Remove rubble and other debris and ensure cleaning the obstacles in the job site.
• Help manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standards.
• Get direction and follow instructions from supervisors.

Position Requirements:

• Some experience as a general construction labourer is an asset.

Your Skills:

• Works outdoors at construction sites.
• Able to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling for extended periods of time.
• Able to handle heavy loads up to 50 pounds.
