Position: Home Support Worker

Employment term: Full-time, Permanent

Hours of work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Wage: $24.50 per hour

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% of gross salary

Job Duties:

Provide general daily assistance to support the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being at home.
Offer help with light personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining overall hygiene as needed.
Support with mobility and light physical activities, ensuring the client’s comfort and safety during movement or short walks.
Plan, prepare, and assist with nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary preferences and any medical recommendations.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, organizing living spaces, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
Shop for groceries, household items, and personal necessities as required.
Offer companionship through meaningful conversation, emotional support, and engagement in recreational or social activities.
Provide reminders for medication, appointments, and daily routines to help maintain consistency and independence.
Monitor the client’s general comfort and report any noticeable changes in health or behavior to family members or healthcare professionals if necessary.
Assist with household planning tasks such as managing schedules, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a well-organized home environment.

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school is required.

Experience: Related experience could be an asset, but not mandatory.

Criminal Record Check, Reference Check Needed
