EXPERIENCE

– 2 years or more of experience in commercial laundry operations or in a related supervisory capacity.

WORK SETTING

– Commercial laundry facility

– Linen rental and distribution services

– On-site customer linen processing and delivery operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Coordinate, assign and supervise the work of employees engaged in sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, pressing, packaging and preparing linens, uniforms, towels and other commercial laundry products for delivery.

– Establish work schedules and production procedures to ensure timely processing and delivery of customer orders.

– Monitor workflow and coordinate activities between laundry production staff and delivery personnel to maintain efficient customer service.

– Ensure compliance with company quality standards, sanitation procedures and workplace safety policies.

– Inspect finished laundry products to verify cleanliness, stain removal and overall presentation standards.

– Resolve operational, production and customer service issues, including delayed orders and equipment-related concerns.

– Hire and train employees in job duties, workplace safety procedures, sanitation standards and company policies.

– Requisition detergents, cleaning supplies, packaging materials and other operational inventory as required.

– Ensure the proper operation of washers, dryers, pressing, folding and packaging equipment, and arrange maintenance and repairs when necessary.

– Prepare production reports and communicate operational updates to management.

– Perform the same duties as workers supervised during peak operational periods when required.

SUPERVISION

– Supervise and coordinate the work of 3 or more employees involved in commercial laundry production and linen preparation operations.
