Overview
Your duties will include:
- Providing agricultural crop services such as irrigating, spraying or harvesting
- Assisting in the development and implementation of safety and bio-security procedures within the greenhouse
- Hiring and training workers
- Negotiating the terms of services to be provided
- Maintaining financial and operational records
- May participate in the provision of services or in the operation of machinery and equipment
- Operation of Priva climate control and irrigation system and digital technology, communication tools and equipment
- Coordinating, assigning and supervising the work of specialized greenhouse harvesting labourers
- Supervising, monitoring and enforcing procedures to maintain crop health and welfare
- Supervising and overseeing growing and other crop-related operations
- Supervising maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Developing work schedules and establishing procedures
- Ensuring greenhouse, farm safety, food safety and security and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintaining quality control and production records
- May perform general greenhouse / farm duties
Education:
- College, CECEG or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of minimum 1 year in length, or equivalent experience
Experience, Specialization:
- Work experience with Tomato Crops an asset
- English language a requirement (Spanish language an asset)
- Equipment / Machinery Experience:
- Automated irrigation system
- Fertilizer application

Wage: $26.44 per hour
Hours: Ranging from 40 to 52 hours per week
