Position Info:

• Position: Carpenter
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $32.00 – $34.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 4255 Graveley Stret, Burnaby, BC V5C 3T7

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay
• 5 days of paid sick leave per year

Job Duties:

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications
• Measure, cut, assemble, shape, and join materials made of wood, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Install and fit items such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
• Lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems, and build foundations
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other construction workers

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of experience in carpentry is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
