Position Info:

·         Position: Violin Teacher

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $76,000 per year

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Work Location: 4th Street Suite 903B, Castlegar, BC V1N 3P3

Job Duties:

·         Provide individualized and group violin instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, following structured lesson plans and curriculum

·         Teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance techniques to support comprehensive musical development

·         Prepare students for recitals, examinations, auditions, and competitions, offering guidance on repertoire selection and performance preparation

·         Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet individual learning needs

·         Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson progress, and student evaluations

·         Participate in academy events, concerts, and workshops, fostering student engagement and community involvement

·         Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivating learning environment that encourages discipline, creativity, and a passion for music

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
