Position Info:

·         Position: Daycare Supervisor

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $29.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 6344 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5E 2V4

Benefits:

·         14 days of paid vacation per year

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Design, develop, and implement child-care programs that foster and enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children

·         Supervise and provide guidance to staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure effective program delivery

·         Participate in staff meetings to review children’s progress, address challenges, and develop strategies to support their overall development

·         Discuss children’s progress, developmental needs, and challenges during staff meetings to develop effective support strategies

·         Plan, establish, and maintain a safe and nurturing environment that safeguards the health, security, and well-being of children

·         Supervise and coordinate the activities of early childhood educators and assistants to ensure high-quality program delivery

·         Maintain and ensure the proper functioning, cleanliness, and safety of daycare equipment

·         Establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers

Job requirements:

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
