Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 101-538 Yates St, Victoria, BC V8W 1K8

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook a variety of global-inspired dishes in line with Block’s menu and standards

·         Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely, consistent service during busy hours

·         Delegate tasks and oversee kitchen assistants and helpers

·         Follow recipes and presentation guidelines while also contributing to daily features

·         Track and maintain inventory levels by keeping a record of ingredient usage, supplies, and equipment

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

·         May support training of new kitchen personnel

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
