Position Info:

· Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $29.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

· Number of Positions: 1

· Work Location: 249 East 57th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5X 1S6

Job Duties:

· Conduct developmental assessments for each child and design individualized learning plans that align with their unique needs and growth patterns

· Design, implement, and evaluate early learning programs that foster holistic development across physical, cognitive, emotional, and social domains

· Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that prioritizes children’s health, security, and overall well-being

· Provide leadership and mentorship by supervising assistants, trainees, and volunteers, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality care and education

· Facilitate creative exploration through diverse mediums such as art, drama, music, and active play, encouraging self-expression and problem-solving

· Monitor and document children’s developmental or behavioural challenges, preparing professional reports and recommendations for parents and supervisors

· Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children

· Develop and implement behavioural guidelines that promote respect, inclusion, and positive social interaction within the classroom

Job requirements:

· Language: English

· Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required

· Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

· Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
