Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $33.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 135-19 Helmcken Road, Victoria BC V8Z 5G5

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook complete meals and ensure the quality meets restaurant standards

·         Customize dishes to accommodate customers’ dietary needs or allergies requests

·         Monitor inventory levels and arrange for food and kitchen supply needs to be met

·         Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with regulations

·         Mentor and support cooks in proper cooking techniques, plating, and food handling

·         Train and support kitchen staff in cooking techniques and safe kitchen practices

·         Contribute to menu development by suggesting seasonal or specialty items

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
