Overview
We require a nanny who can help in the care and development of our 5-year old with speech and cognitive delay and behavioral aggression. The goal is direct supervision, full to partial assist and support so that child can become increasingly independent.
Duties would include:
· Change diapers
. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
. Shop for food and household supplies
. Bathe, dress and feed child
. Discipline child according to the methods requested by the parents
. Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development
. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding child
. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
. Organize, activities such as games and outings for child
. Prepare and serve nutritious meals
. Prepare infants and child for rest periods
. Supervise and care for child
. Take child to and from school and to appointments
. Tend to emotional well-being of children
Education level: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Wage ($/hour): 17.60$/hour
Required languages: English
Required skills: Experience an asset

About NN Private Household
We are a happy and welcoming household of four seeking a dedicated and compassionate home child care provider to support our 5-year old son who has has special needs. Our son faces challenges with communication, falling asleep, and has specific food aversions. He displays aggressive behavior such as biting, scratching and kicking if his communication needs are not being listened or attended to. We are looking for someone with patience, experience and a nurturing approach. Successful candidate must own a car with valid driver's license in order to take child to his scheduled multiple therapy appointments each week. Child also goes to play center for recreational respite few days each week.
