Position Info:

· Position: Drilling Machine Operator

· Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

· Wage: $39.93/hour

· Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

· Number of Positions: 1

· Work Location: 1316 United Boulevard, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6Y2

Benefits:

· 4% vacation pay

· $1,000 medical allowance annually

Job Duties:

· Operate truck mounted or track mounted drilling machines to drill holes in rock or soil at construction, quarry, or infrastructure work sites according to project specifications

· Read and interpret basic instructions, site layouts, and drill patterns to accurately position and drill holes at designated locations

· Measure and verify drilling locations, depths, and diameters to ensure work meets required standards and job plans

· Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure drilling machines are operating safely and efficiently

· Follow all workplace health and safety regulations, including site safety procedures, hazard awareness, and equipment operation guidelines

· Assist with the preparation of drilling areas by setting up equipment, securing work zones, and coordinating with supervisors and crew members

· Operate drilling attachments such as augers or rotary tools for foundation work, piling, or other construction related drilling tasks

· Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate drilling activities and report progress or equipment issues

· Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use

Job requirements:

· Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required

· Education: Completion of secondary school is required

· Language: English
