Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role involves supervising children, facilitating educational activities, and providing support to their developmental needs. The Childcare Provider will play a crucial role in fostering a positive atmosphere where children can learn and grow.
Experience and specialization
Experience:
Must have atleast 7 months experience providing care for children or alternatively have provided care for own children.
Must possess the ability to supervise and care for multi-aged group of children.
Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
On site:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting:
Employer’s home
Work in employer’s/client’s home.
Language Requirements:
English (required)
Yoruba (Asset)
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
CPR Certificate
First Aid Certificate
Responsibilities:
Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. Bath, dress and feed children.
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
Organize, activities such as games for children.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Supervise and care for children.
Take children to and from school and to appointments if need be.
Tend to emotional well-being of children. Help children with homework.
Take children to soccer practice and games.
