Overview

My parents are getting older (68+), and I am caring for three children on my own. I am seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to assist with my parents’ daily living needs.

Responsibilities:
– Provide support and assistance to individuals in need of senior care, home care, or patient care
– Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication reminders
– Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
– Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
– Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up
– Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients

Skills:
– Experience in caregiving, hospice care, nursing home, or similar roles is preferred
– Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
– Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary

Work Location: 4786 W. 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6T 1C2

Job Status: Permanent, Full-time, 30 hours/week, Overtime and weekends as needed

Salary: $24.50/hour

Working Conditions:

The Home Support Work will be working at our home. This position may require some evening and weekend work, as well as occasional off-site duties, such as accompanying seniors to the hospital.
