Job Title: Food and Beverage Processing Supervisor

Location: Scarborough, ON, M1V 5E4

Work location: On site, Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely

Salary: 36.00 hourly / 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Shifts: Evening, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend

Starts as soon as possible

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:3 years to less than 5 years

Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated, Outdoors, Noisy

Responsibilities/Tasks

 

Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process

Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

Prepare production and other reports

Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers

Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units

Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

Supervision up to 3-4 people

 

Credentials/Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses required:

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) Certification

 

Experience and specialization

Cuisine specialties: South Indian

Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control

Regulations knowledge:

CIP (Cleaning In Place) and SIP (Sanitizing in Place) Systems

Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
