Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist skilled carpenters in various construction projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the carpentry field. This role requires a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic, as you will be involved in a variety of tasks that support the construction and renovation process.

About Bretoba Contracting Ltd

Key Responsibilities:

Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
Clean and pile salvaged materials.
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities.
Perform other activities at construction sites as directed.

Key Qualifications:

High school diploma; 1-2 years’ directly related experience.
Experience working in fast-paced work environment.
Capable of handling/lifting heavy loads (more than 100 lbs).
Capable of carrying out repetitive activities in physically demanding work environment.
Attention to detail in manual dexterity.
Working under pressure to meet client deadlines.
Language: English (minimum CLB 4) .
