Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $30.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 200 Burrard Street Unit R020, Vancouver, BC V6C 3L6

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Plan, organize, and oversee food preparation and cooking activities in the restaurant

·         Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty Japanese dishes, including sushi and other menu items

·         Estimate food and labor requirements, monitor costs, and maintain budgetary controls

·         Develop and plan menus, ensuring consistency with quality, presentation, and food safety standards

·         Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations

·         Arrange for the purchase of ingredients, supplies, and oversee the repair or replacement of kitchen equipment

·         Participate in the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of kitchen staff

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

·         Language: English
