Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $34.62~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 100 – 1100 Melville Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 4A6

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty items

·         Oversee and supervise kitchen staff activities

·         Plan menus and ensure food quality standards are met

·         Oversee the purchase and maintenance of kitchen equipment

·         Estimate the necessary supplies and costs for food and labour

·         Train cooks and kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking

·         Involve in hiring and recruiting process

·         Create new recipes

 

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
