Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 201-2020 Oxford Connector, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 0A4

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and plan menu items while maintaining consistency with the restaurant’s quality standards

·         Uphold strict standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout all kitchen operations

·         Monitor ingredient inventory and coordinate the timely ordering or repairing of supplies

·         Modify recipes and ingredients to accommodate customers’ dietary restrictions and allergy concerns

·         Supervise kitchen team in proper cooking methods and safe, efficient kitchen practice

·         Mentor cooks in their preparation, presentation, and food handling techniques

·         Collaborate on menu development by recommending new or seasonal offerings

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
