Position Info:
- Position: Carpenter
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $35.00-$38.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 1
- Work Location: 4807 Vienna Drive NW, Calgary, AB T3A 0W7

Job Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using appropriate measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other construction materials
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof structures
- Fit and install finishing elements such as doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential buildings and wooden structures in various settings such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants
- Supervise and guide apprentices when required
Job requirements:
- Experience: 2-3 years of work experience in carpentry industry is required
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required
- Language: English
